This past weekend, I hosted my first Pop-Up Workout, and I thought that I would share a little bit about my experience, and how it can encourage you to keep going. Here's the thing with me; I have a LOT of ideas flowing through my head for my business. I mean, sometimes, I don't sleep JUST because of the amount of info I think about. With this event, I knew that I wanted to do something like this, but I didn't know that it was going to be so soon, and I had no idea what the turnout would be. I'd only really put the idea into actual play about two to three weeks before it happened, even though it's been a part of my plan ever since I got serious about I.S.F. (It's Shawn Fitness). So, I wanted to share with you, my experience, my ups, and my downs.

WHAT I DID AND WHY

I hosted a Pop-Up Workout on last Saturday in Colonial Heights, Virginia (I live in NC). What's a Pop-Up Workout? I basically dubbed it such because I wanted to create a "Catch Me if You Can" type express bootcamp. I "pop-up" in various cities, offer a great workout to a bunch of my community and get to know my tribe members I wouldn't otherwise get to see (This would include a lot of people who follow me on social media), and then move on to the next city. As I make rounds, I will keep those cities I've visited in my rotation, and always make sure to get back there to give more workouts.

I've always wanted to add this to my list of offerings for everyone. I want to always have something available for everyone to use, whether it's a checklist, a workout, an eBook, a course, or access to a speaking engagement. It's also been a dream of mine to be a "traveling trainer" of sorts (since I didn't get to achieve my dream of being an Olympic jumper/hurdler, this is the next best thing). I love meeting new people and sharing my love of fitness, so it's pretty awesome to be able to share this gift of fitness, meet new people and create new friendships along the way.

HOW I DID WHAT I DID

This was the easy (and fun) part! Putting together an amazing workout that everyone can do, motivating people to push through the fatigue, and even joining in on the workout are the things I LOVE to do. We did a Tabata circuit that was OFF.THE.CHAIN. Afterwards, we did an ab circuit.

We had an AMAZING time, people laughed, they sweat, they struggled, they achieved, they conquered! And afterwards, they thanked me. And THAT is the satisfaction that I crave. When I help people move towards becoming their best self, I know I am fulfilling my purpose.

WHY IT'S IMPORTANT TO KEEP GOING

Like I said earlier, the attendance wasn't as high as I would have liked it to be, but I really had a great time with the turnout that I had. It's what pushes me to keep going. I know I'm helping at least one person, so I'm going to keep going. Listen, NO ONE EVER got it right the first time, except God. And we are not Him, so you need to expect to fail. I just know from that failure, there is a learning experience, and it pushes me to do better the next time. When you keep going, you're being led to your greater. You want you good to always get better, and you want your better to strengthen you to be your best. Then you KEEP GOING even further. Never stop going. Finally, remember that when you don't stop, you will be moving towards fulfilling your purpose. Don't leave this earth not knowing what that feels like.

So keep going. There's room for all of us to be great.
